From I-75, Take exit 20, (travel east - away from Fireworks store) proceed to Hwy 11 exit ramp. Turn left onto Hwy 11 (S. Lee Hwy)
and proceed north to Inman Street. Turn right. The Museum Center
is located on the right at the 4th traffic light.

Cherokee Pottery: People of One Fire- A retrospective exhibit of Cherokee pottery organized by the Cherokee Heritage Center of Tahlequah, Oklahoma. Almost 90 pieces of pottery from the early Mississippian Period to the present are shown including pieces by Cherokee potters from Oklahoma, North Carolina and Tennessee.

Cherokee Garden Club Fall Home and Garden Show – Home and garden vendors, tablescapes, three noted speakers on interior design and gardening, a picnic box lunch, and admission to museum exhibits. $25.00 for full program of speakers and lunch with advance tickets purchased by September 25th. $5.00 for general admission at door to see vendors only. 9:00 – 5:00. Proceeds to benefit the Museum
Center’s Cherokee Garden Club Memorial Garden.

Bus Trip to the Museum of the Cherokee Indian – Visit the
Museum of the Cherokee Indian in Cherokee, NC with Museum Center staff. Tour their permanent exhibit on the history of the Cherokee,
see a Trail of Tear’s sites photo exhibit, have a special traditional Cherokee Indian lunch, shop the Qualla Arts and Crafts Mutual and
the studio of potter Joel Queen. 7:30 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. $52 for museum members and $57 for non members. Reservations by October 12th.

in the Museum Store. Three prominent jewelry artists from
Tennessee and North Carolina will show, talk about, and sell their

Learn to Draw Workshop Series
Local artist June Chase will offer a six-week beginning drawing class for adults who have always wanted to learn to draw. Meets every evening from 6:30 - 8:00 p.m. Students will be given a supplies list and will be expected to provide their own materials for class. The six-week course is $60 for museum members and $65 for non-members. Reservations and pre-payment are required by April 11th.

Bus Trip to the Frist Center for the Visual Arts, Nashville
Join museum staff on a bus trip to the Frist Center for the Visual Arts in Nashville to see their exhibit, Monet to Dali: Modern Masters from the Cleveland Museum of Art. Lunch will be on your own at the museum's cafe, followed by time to wander this great art museum and shop in their store. 9:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. $30 per non-museum members and $35 for non-museum members. Reservations and pre-payment required by April 16th.

Children's Art Workshop - Blooming Paintings for Kids!
Cleveland elementary art teacher Susan Parks will lead a painting and drawing workshop for children ages 8-12. Kids will study real flowers and their shapes and then learn to draw and paint using oil pastels and watercolors. All supplies will be provided. Just bring your imagination and creativity! No special skills required! 10:00 - 11:30 a.m. Cost is $6 for museum members' children and $8 for non-museum members' children. Reservations and pre-registration required by May 2nd.

Ken and Kathleen Dalton of Coker Creek:
A Basket Making Legacy
Ken and Kathleen Dalton helped revive the basket making tradition in East Tennessee starting in the early 1970s. Both traditional ash split baskets and non-traditional baskets will be on display.
